overrevved
i have an 04 sedan 5AT too and i did the same thing. shifted at right at 6300 and the stupid delay made it redline, it cut my gas off and threw the car forward, but didnt do anyting to it. your car could probably have the redline raised a bit and be ok, i wouldnt worry about it at all
The technosquare ECU reflash pushes the redline to 7100, which is where they feel the redline should be anyway:

three occasions. It is pretty scarey when it kicks in, isn't it? But mine now has 53K miles
on it and all is fine. Relax, try not to do it again. Hehe

"Does the rev limiter shift to the next gear when it redlines or does keep reving until your shift?"
I seem to recall that the Owner's Manual said it would automatically shift if the redline was exceeded. Check out the section that talks about the manual mode. I think I saw it there.
