Question about supposedly an upper plenum for G/Z's with single throttle body

With a Kinetix Racing Velocity Tubular Intake Manifold, the reason I ask is supposedly you're supposed to gain around 30.5 HP. Thing is this part looks like only 1/2 of an upper plenum. There is an additional cover that I came across that has a engine cover. Similar to the 350Z engine cover. But it's shaped like a Kinetix Racing Velocity Tubular Intake Manifold. Or something like it. If anyone can gimme some feedback, please!

Has anyone ever seen this setup?

I can guarantee this plenum will not give you a 30hp gain on an N/A setup. And any pics of this cover you're talking about?

How about guarantee if boosted? It'll still look good under the hood tho. And was I right on the size of the plenum?

I reckon there's not any real HP guarantee...

Do some searching on my350z.com there are a ton of people who have installed them and love them.
30hp sounds high for an na setup but I would imagine more around a 15-20 HP gain with out a proper tune to get the air/fuel ratio right.
I personally have a v+ plenum on my g and did notice a gain from the install. Kinetix put a lot of research into that plenum to ensure that air would get to all the cylinders so I imagine that it will do a good job.
If you take your factory plenum off (or look for some pictures online) you'll see that there are six holes leading into the engine in the center of where the plenum is (hmm just like the six pipes on the kinetix intake.)
So with the kinetix plenum you get a more direct air flow to the engine meaning more air for the cylinders to compress and ignite meaning more power.
The car will not adjust enough for this increased air flow and you will need a tune (from Osiris or whoever) to get the ecu to put more fuel into the car to compensate for the increase air.
Hope this helps. May want to do a lot of research into It before you go too far.
Also may have wanted to put this in the random little question thread up top...

I didn't notice anything different besides added rasp when I was running the Velocity plenum, and that was with full bolt-ons and a tune.

I'm now looking at the V+ plenum how much of an increase via N/A or would cosworth plenum suffice? Either way I just need to put something under the hood that you can see to make it a bit more flashy. All I have is the aam competition angled spacer, ztube with drop in & nismo oil cap which is the hardest to unscrew ㄴㅇㄴ

A Motordyne spacer and the OEM plenum will give a bigger increase than the Kinetix V1, SSV, or the Cosworth on a NA motor. Just get a polished plenum with the spacer and you'll enjoy the gains and the bling. I got lucky and found a chromed plenum on here a few years ago and love it.
