at 220,000 miles the rear bearing went out
There's definitely a cotter pin. Noticed it when I did the TSB fix for axle click.
I have never had any work done where the nut would have be touched and I am the only person working on my car....
the was no play on bearing. I took the bearing apart with my father in law who is a retired mechanic over 30 years in the business.
The bearings looked clean, no visible damage to any parts of the bearing at all. no noise when turning etc.................
I did replace it anyway do due to the damage to the hub assy. .
We did check the other side yesterday and that bearing feels fine. No noise, no play, etc....
Also, since I didn't need the parts for the other side I am willing to let them go at a discount.
If anyone needs the rear bearing and hub assy. email me at tomzphone@gmail.com probably $175 for both shipped somewhere near Maryland.
