Coupe seat swap, *** A little differently, Please step in :)
Like many of my fellow sedan owners, I've purchased some Coupe seats to put in my car. Great upgrade!!
HOWEVER, I have a few issues with this swap. There are a couple downfalls. I don't like downfalls.
1. The seats don't recline back all the way, they actually recline VERY little at all.
2. Most (all?) coupe seats don't have the memory feature. So if you get them, you lose it. Not a big deal for me, I never use that feature anyways.
SOOOO. I really would love to fix the no- reclining thing. The Sedan seats will recline completely flat. They will actually go farther if you take the back seat out, and you can literally sleep comfortably in the car (I've done this, and would like to again).
My hope, is that someone has tried this. My thought, is that I might be able to swap the seat, and seat back, (ie PADDING, etc) onto the FRAME of the sedan seat. This would keep all the sedan features, wiring, plugs, motors, etc. So you get the best of both worlds.
The only feature you LOSE here, is the folding FORWARD feature of the coupe seats. Which is actually kind of nice to have, even in a sedan, especially if you haul stuff around in the back at all. I put tires in there for race day with the back seat out, so it's nice.
Has anyone tried this? Will I have to be the guinea pig?
Thanks for any help or advice. I may/may not have time to test it myself. If someone tells me it can be done though, I'll make time and I'll take pictures along the way for a DIY.

Well at least I got my Driver coupe seat working. Wouldn't tilt. Wouldn't recline.
Tore it apart, took some of the sedan seat apart. Testing told me the motors were good. Ended up pointing my finger at the coupe seat switch.
Managed to figure out the wiring differences between the sedan and coupe switches, and made the Sedan harness and switches work on the coupe seat....

@ Blue dream thats a galaxy S 3 with a great camera lol but pics were taken at night time with the flash on and in a hurry thats why they look like that. My interior is very clean except for the back seats that are in terrible condition and need to be reuphulstered. @Tunermax yea I think they came from an 03 or 04 coupe

I'm going to try any get ahold of a couple coupe guys via PM and have them check for me if they don't mind. At the very least, we can log the information in this thread.
And I thought I was kicking *** getting the 05 version vs. the 03 version. Oh well.
SEATS ARE IN!!! Damn, this is easily one of the best upgrades I've ever done to this car. So much nicer, you can actually see the gauges, and I'm pretty sure my helmet won't hit the roof anymore when I'm racing !!!! WHOOT!
