Has anyone tried this cheap hub/bearing assembly for sale on ebay? honestly, I have 150k on my 2004 right now, and wont be keeping it much longer, as giving to my daughter for a year or two.
Parts here are $199, which is half of new original dealer wants.

I've found that there is no aftermarket option for bearings. Only one manufacturer makes the bearing and the differences is what box you get it shipped to you in.

They just distribute the bearing. Even states this on the box.
You open the timken box up and the bearing has NTN stamped on it (the OEM manufacturer)
I guess i could have worded that statement i made better. There are non-dealer sources for the bearings, but they are all made by the same manufacturer. The prices have dropped in the last few years. The front bearings used to be $200+, but not have dropped to the $70-80 range now.
