1st Gen sedan aero package?

I drive a 2004 g35x sedan, and the only thing i dislike visually are the flat black skirts/lips along the bottom of the car. I know that the g35 sedan bodies changed slightly for the 2005 and newer models, which brings me to my question: can a 2005+ sedan aero package (mainly the front lip) be modified to fit a 2004 sedan without too much effort? What exactly would have to be changed for it to fit properly? I've been wondering about this alot lately, and haven't been able to find a whole lot on the subject.

You should look into buying replica nismo (aero) kit pieces instead of that lip. Vendors here sell the replicas, the originals are extremely rare to find

Yup, just remember how much it costs to install it AFTER shipping. Tack on prices like 300-450 for painting of the bumper (for polyurethane at least, fg will be cheaper), plus installation, if your sedan didn't come with the aero bumper from the factory the installer will need to do some work to get it to fit. You can also look into a kurookie bumper. But keep in mind those only come in fiberglass, which cracks and is less durable than polyurethane. It's repairable, but then you'd still need to repaint the whole bumper again, etc.

Yeah, i really like the polyurethane nismo replicas actually. I know the owner of a local bodyshop who has ridiculously low prices so I'll ask him about this. Just for reference, he fixed a large dent and got rid of the rust spot on my G for only 100 bucks, including the paint matching. I know that this modification will be much more expensive due to the size of the bumper.

To answer part of your OP, retrofitting 05/06 bodywork to an 03 takes some extensive replacement, and then you end up with something that looks like an 05. Find a replica Nismo kit, or if you get lucky (as I did) you may find an original.

Yeah that's what I've learned today. I really like the look of your car Swivel, kind of what i want to go for with my G. Just a very simple, clean and sleek design. Right now i look out the window and it's just a boring old g35x in stock form lol

+1 on looking into a replica Nismo kit or the Hikkatadori bumper. As mentioned, fitting the 05 bumper requires the bumper, headlights, hood, grill, and fenders to be replaced. Just have the side skirts color matched.

My insurance estimate quoted just the bumper at 1191.00 without paint or labor and 737.00 per sideskirt.

I found one once for $700 and it was painted the correct color. Think I kept looking in e-bay and found a place in Houston that sells take off bumpers. My 04x came with it. It looks great but could stand to be freshened up with some new paint.

I think it was between 2800 and 3000 for the bumper, skirts, rear lip, spoiler, and some under body diffusers.

I need to find a 03 aero front bumper.
Good luck. They pop up used every once in a while, but typically need repair.

The polyurethane hikkatadori is available for 399 shipped new. They look sort of similar.
