I have a 2004 G35x that I just got today. I noticed a clicking noise when I turn the steering wheel, both while stationary and while driving. The click occurs when I turn the wheel past about 10-11 o'clock and about 1-2 o'clock. The wheel is smooth until those two points. The first thought that came into my mind was that the steering wheel locked at those 2 places after the car is off. My mechanic did not mention anything about the steering column when I had the car inspected. Is there anything I should be concerned about? Am I freaking out over nothing? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
