to buy or not? 180k miles
saw a local dealership (hole in the wall spot) selling an 04 with aero package (Auto) for 6.4k (thinking maybe i can get em down to 5.5k-6k
miles currently on dash, 180k searched the carfax (mycarfax.com which only give service history) seemed like from 70k - 180 it was consistently taken care of at a local infiniti dealership.
currently im trying to figure out what an actual carfax report says (i dont have the carfax but i got a free autocheck by browsing the web)
car does hold a clean title according to autocheck. your thoughts? thanks peeps!

thanks for the heads up. after checking the car out i decided not to go with it, the dealer did say $5.5k for it but few things were changed and the miles on the car did not match what was on autocheck. and the guys didnt say anything until i mentioned it. the cluster was replaced from 180k to 100k (something about it being damaged)

While the OP decided not to buy this vehicle, if others are in a similar position and know that the vehicle had been serviced locally by a dealer, go to the dealer's service department and ask to review the records. A buddy did this a couple of years ago when he was looking at an 01 Acura with 90k miles at a non Acura dealer. The car had been serviced at the Acura dealer, who let him review the files getting him comfortable with the purchase.

OP, did the dealer exactly say it had 180K miles?
If they didn't and it said 100K on the dash, a lawyer could help you get that car for extremely cheap... As it is illegal to change a car's ODO, even if in an accident. I am fairly certain with our cars the dealer can reset it if an emergency situation.

Dude don't buy it! I got my 05G(AT) 10w mileage for 7k( although tax rate is nearly three times than what I paid in New York). You are paying way too much!!!
I would say my G was not in good condition. Bumpers is little bit lose, 3 oxygen sensors dead, and few scratch on driver side door. I also put $800 for new break rotors.
Most importantly the engine was rebuilt because of the serious accident. Well, it runs perfectly right now. I was having 2 options the other G was selling for 9k and it had engine light on as well.
Sorry for any English mistakes : )
