Will sport shocks fit a non sport g35 rwd

im shopping for replacement shocks and I was wondering
If i buy a new a set of shocks for a sport model will it work with the base model RWD ?

I would not mind tad stiffness to make it react and roll better. i was looking for fully adjustable ones but i cant see myelf throwing 1g on konis shocks alone. i need to do more then strut repair on this car.
I wanted tociko d-spec but it cant be found so i looked for the tociko blues but i cant find a full set. so i will try and go this route.
im not comfortable with going coil over after market neon colored set of track one that's going to slam my car or lowerer my car to the point i have to add camber plates and/or needs aftermarket upper arms for camber to make it work etc... that's just to much for me.

i would like a set of alittle stiffer shocks but not dropping the car. if not ill keep them stock damped
if theres a set of coil overs that are a decent improvement with stock like ride quality that don't need extra parts just remove and replace will be optimum

i live in NYC and the roads are rated the worst in the country so i need it absorb uneven surfaces, steel street construction plates, poorly patched up blobbed up roads, and 3 inch potholes
,old cobblestone streets.... with near stock comfort If possible lol

Sport shocks are fine on your base sedan. They are even a snazzy shade of red.

Yes, they will if you plan to lower your car get coilovers. OEM shocks are overpriced if you buy new and used ones will just bust in another year or two

Find a set of sub-50k mile Coupe Springs with the revised spring rates and add a set of new KYBs (coupe sport version) all around.

Mild drop all around and no problem whatsoever meeting factory alignment specs.

I ran this setup on my 04 sport sedan and it was a noticeable improvement.

I installed 350z springs in the front and G35 coupe springs in the rear couple years ago. The rear shock on driver side started sagging and rear end was bouncing around too much for my liking. I picked up some $49.99 KYB GR-2 shocks today and that made a world of a difference. I only did the rear since those had issues and the fronts were fine. I will probably do the front within a month or two from now. It was well worth the price for parts at $108.x OTD and labor @ $70 OTD. The 350z and G35 coupe springs help the sedan and you have a noticeable difference from stock for very little cost.

I don't think you can use 07-08 springs for sedan on the 05. You will want to look at 2003-2006 350z and G35 springs. Stay away from springs from a different year and make sure to get the correct spring rate for the shocks you plan to purchase. You can read the colored dots to find out what springs they are and research on G35driver or my350z for spring rates for different years. Best option would be to use 2005 G35 coupe SPORT rear springs and 2005 350z front springs. That will give you the most even drop and work out the best for matching with a pair of sport shocks.

That's a bummer I really would have like if the 07 08 shocks with springs would have worked for my 05 rwd.
I am trying to avoid those 350z springs because I don't really want to drop car much at all. A mild half inch to .8 I'll accept. But I rather stock height..because I don't want to add any other parts to meet factory alignment.. do you know where I can find this information on the dots on springs

I had the sports suspension on my 04 sedan and I added the Z front G Coupe rear springs as my first suspension mod. I was easily within OEM alignment specs and was very happy with how my car handled. I kept them for 4 years before I went with coilovers. The KYB shocks mentioned above are a suitable replacement for the sedan.

I have sport tokico shocks on my 6mt G35 and replaced just the rears with KYB Sport GR-2 shocks. I have been happy with them and they are much better than stock blown tokicos. These are 15% stiffer and personally I am very happy with the cost to performance ratio. The 350z front springs will drop you .75" in the front and g35 coupe will be .5" in the rear if I am not mistaken. The fenders are cut different and will make it appear it is uneven. It depends on if you want even fender to ground height or even fender gap.
