car wont accept more than 3$ of gas at a time.
i was originally able to put about 15-17gallons in the tank, which is about 60$. it seems like every two months i was able to put less and less gas in cause then i was only able to put around 45$. so every time i was on empty and i refilled i could never put anymore than 45$ then in about another two months i was only able to put 35$ max in the tank then another two months went to 25$. the drop from 25$ to 3$ in gas was the quickest it only took a month. so i am able to put three dollars in and then can only fill in 10 cent increments after the original 3$. then after about .40cents in .10 cent increments the tank overflows. i went to my family mechanic who only deals with Japanese cars said i need two fuel pumps left and rt one is 420$ and the other is 180$, then a fuel line for a hundred that goes into the tank and the labor was 200$. also my gas gauge doesnt work. he said it will after he does the fix. does anyone know if that is the problem and is there a more cost effective way to fix it? has this happen to anyone else? he said it happens with Nissan a lot. any feed back greatly appreciated if u have questions ask and i could fill u in or check

Well, TSB ITB08-041a is a LOT more involved. I'd start with the easier one.
my car had this issue especially in the winter.
I never got it fixed as I learned to deal with it by filling gas slower and not letting the nozzle sit all the way in. I used to leave the nozzle out just enough so that it would sit inside the filling hose, without me having to hold it or have ti pop out and spill all over the place.
By filling slowly and hitting the walls of the filling hose you dont overwhelm the system.
It worked for me and I used to get frustrated everytime until I saw the diagram and it made sense to fill slower.
