2004 g35x shaking
Hey guys, I would like some opinions on a shaking problem I'm having. The car shakes while I'm driving, its subtle at low speeds and increases as I drive faster. The shaking doesn't happen every time I drive, it actually stopped for the past 6 days and just came back tonight. Last Friday it was shaking so bad at around 30mph the shift **** was noticably shaking, I pulled over and let the car sit for 30 minutes and started it back up and the shaking ceased. I had the tires rotated last week thinking maybe that was it, but its obviously continued. The shaking is similar to snow being in the wheel well, but there's no snow to cause it. Could this be a transmission problem? Engine problem? Anybody experience this as well? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

If its shaking that bad at 30 mph then my guess is that something is worn out very bad & it is probably not safe to drive. My 1st guess would be a worn tie rod because I recently had to replace one on my 05X & it did cause alot of vibration. If they are good just then a few more things to look at is check the for bad U-joints on the front & rear driveshafts, motor & tranny mounts, ball joints, any suspension bushings.
I am waiting on a new front driveshaft to come in now to replace mine that has a worn out U-joint.

I'm gonna say look at the rear calipers, and make sure they're not seized (either the slide pins or the pistons). A good way to check is after driving for a while, if one wheel is noticeably hotter than the others, it's probably got a seized caliper. BTDT this winter with my '06x. I had similar symptoms - car was shaking, almost felt like the tires were egg-shaped on my ride to work LOL. Replaced the seized caliper two weeks ago and all is well again in G-land!
