Service Engine Light
Service Engine Light
On 3 occasions within about 5 miles, it flashed about 10 seconds each. The second or 3rd time, if felt like it had less power, like it may have mis fired.
Then the next 18 miles home (This happened about 170 miles into my trip), it seemed to run fine.
The navi screen never showed anything. In the past, when a code has been thrown, it would popup a screen showing that a problem was detected. I have a device that can also read codes, and it didn't detect anything.
About 1 week ago, and 500 miles back, I had the 105000 spark plug change done.
Anyone else see something like this? Without a code, it would seem difficult for the Nissan dealership to diagnose. Especially if it is something that requires 180 miles of highway driving.
Gas cap seemed tight.

Flashing check engine light is a major misfire. You might have a cylinder or two not even firing.
Usually it means mechanical damage can occur if left due to raw fuel ruining the cat converter, so you definitely want to look at it.

I had them replaced at the Nissan dealership. No light in the 450 miles after spark plugs replaced until the incident. Nor in the 50 miles and 1 day since.
Mileage seems about the same as before I changed them.

Should be resolved. Light flashed a few times this morning on way to work, so I headed back to where I had the spark plugs replaced. There was a poor connection.
So it wasn't a coincidence.
