Traded in G35 Sedan w/ 18000 miles for 24k...
My friend traded in his 2003 G35 Sedan w/ Premium, Sports Suspension, Protection Package, Navigation, and Black on Graphite interior. The car was in mint and had 18000 miles. The dealership offered him 24k and his dumbass took it. I am so pissed off at him...

I don't think 24K is a bad deal.
Take a look at this article about <a href="http://moneycentral.msn.com/content/Savinganddebt/Saveonacar/P37267.asp?special=030501save" target="new">new car depreciation</a>.
It never pays to sell or trade in a new car before it's 4 or 5 years old. Why did your friend sell so soon? Purchasing a car is serious business, and people who want a new car every year or two should only lease.

He couldn't afford the payments. He traded it in for a Honda Accord 2 Dr. Any he wanted to lease but they only offered the lease of a 4 year plan.

yeah..., I was thinking about the resale value too. I don't think that G35 will have a good resale value. Let's say I bought a new G with $36k and after about 2 years or 30k mileage, what do you guys think about the value of the car ? can i still sell it at $30k ?

You lose more than 2 grand when you drive it off the lot. Figure $2500 just in sales tax, $300 in DMV fees and $100 doc fees. That's on top of the instant 2-3K$ depreciation. Money down the crapper.
