Wandering at Highway Speed

Been trying to solve this problem for what seems like ages. Bought a used 06 sedan, and for some reason every time I'm on the highway it seems like the car is impossible to drive in a straight line. Almost like large gusts of wind are pushing me side to side. Recently had my lower ball joints and tie rods replaced and have been aligned twice. Beginning to think it's the tires? I'm running Cooper Zeon RS3's if that helps, they are somewhat what some would consider cheap. Thanks in advance for the help guys.

Tire size? Wider than stock tires do sometimes track in the ruts.

Alignment? Loose suspension components elsewhere? Not much you can do other than put the car on jackstands and take a peek under the car and inspect. Typically the FSM procedure is to pull the wheels with the car up and use a pry bar to pull and tug at the various suspension components.

Sorry can't be of more help but it's one of those situations where you need to have the car in front of you

Sorry should have included this in OP but I have brought it to three separate shops and all of them have come back to me with nothing. Car is apparently in great shape.Thinking about just going and getting my tires rotated balanced and re-aligned, and if that doesn't work I'm about to give up.

Thanks for the input, hopefully once I have a little extra money I can upgrade to aftermarket wheels with nicer tires. I must say though, besides the movement the tires have been very good to me in all conditions.

A good alignment tech can look how your tires are wearing and tell you why your G isn't tracking correctly. When you've had your alignment done, did you talk to the tech doing the work and ask him how far off your alignment was? Buying a used car there's the possibility it was in an accident and the sub frame is slightly tweaked making it impossible to align correctly. Find an independent brake/alignment shop in your area and ask them these questions. No use buying new tires until you're 100% sure your alignment is within OE specs. Once you're sure, check out www.tirerack.com for a new set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports, you'll never go to back to krap tires!

Carfax stated there was a minor accident where the previous owner had hit a parked car, although I didn't imagine it would have been a serious accident considering the parked car part, always thought it was a fender bender in a parking lot or something of that sort. When you say the sub frame could be tweaked, is there anything that could repair this?

EDIT: Found this link, think it's possible this guy has the same problem as me? Maybe this could be a solution?

It's all good man, I totally understand where you're coming from considering how irritating this has been for me. Although, I believe if you get that busted cv boot fixed and get a proper alignment you should be good!

If you have new ball joints and tie rods and two alignments I think you can conclude that it is the tires. Unless the alignment shop was staffed with total idiots they would have told you that something couldn't be brought back to spec.
