I have a 2004 stock sedan. After I got home from the store today I decided to reset the service engine soon light on my car. I have done the multiple times with no problems. The light is due to hose problem but nothing major. Ive never had one single problem with the car today until after I reset the warning. Now the car sounds like it will turn over once then stop. The radio, ac, lights etc all work. I checked the battery and it is fully charged as well. I called the dealer here in Knoxville and they said they have never heard of that before.

Has anyone had this happen or know a solution??? TIA for the help.

Pull the negative side of the battery, turn on the headlights, plug the battery back in. Retry starting.

How did you reset the check engine light? And, what exactly was the code that caused it?

How did you reset it?

It could be a coincidence that this happened right after doing a reset. I'd suggest trying a jumpstart and potentially investigating the charging system being weak. How old is your battery?

Next on my list would be a failing starter.
