P1084 Exhaust Valve Timing Voltage Circuit Bank 2 HELP

I need help!!!
Couple weeks ago on my way to school, my check engine light comes on and starts blinking. My car usually burns about a quart of oil every 1,000miles so I pull over to the nearest 7/11 and put in 2 quarts. The check engine light turns off so I assume everything is fine.
Two days later the check engine light comes on again and the code reads P1084 EXHAUST VALVE TIMING VOLTAGE CIRCUIT BANK 2. As soon as the light came on, my car starts idling around 1100-1300rpm. I let the car sit for about 30 minutes and start it up again for work and the idle is normal. For the next few days the car drives and idles fine but the check engine light remains on.
I do an oil change and reset the light but after about 10 miles of driving, it comes back on with the same code and the car again idles around 1100-1300rpm. I let it sit for about 20 minutes and the car idles normal but the light remains on.
I did a google search and came to the conclusion that I needed a new Cam Position Sensor for Bank 2. I know there is the angled sensor and the straight sensor but when I took a look at both sensors, they both appear to be angled. But anyways I changed the driver side sensor and reset the code.
After about 10 miles of driving, the code comes back on and I'm getting the same symptoms!
I am a bit lost now and don't know what else to do...

Car is an 05 6mt with just a K&N filter.

Hey there! I recently went through a similar situation and tried to do a lot of research from this site. I have a 6MT like you and learned that these cars with the REV engines have 4 cam sensors (two on each side, one for intake and one for exhaust).

I purchased Nissan part number 23731-6J90B, which is the straight style sensor, that replaces the exhaust, drivers side (bank 2) side.

This was nearly two months ago and after about 1,200 miles of driving, the light has stayed off and car idles normally.

Hey thanks for the reply!
Do you know if it really matters if it's angled or staight? The previous one I replaced was angled and it was located on the driver side. Not sure why yours was straight. This is the thread I used for the diy

Also, my car drives and idles fine even with the SES light on. I don't feel any power loss at all.
Did you turn off your SES light after replacing the sensor or did it go off by itself?

Like the last post states, there are two sensors on each side. I didn't know this at first either, but finally figured it out with more research.

On the drivers side, the exhaust sensor is straight while the intake sensor is angled.

My car continued to run fine, with the SES light on, but the idle was around 1100-1200 RPM instead of the usual 600-700 RPM.

After the straight exhaust sensor was replaced, the light was reset, car idles like it should, and all has been fine for almost 1,000 miles

The SES light turned off by itself today. I'm still not sure what the problem really was. Everytime the light came on, my idle would be around 1000-1300rpm, but after letting the car rest for about 20 minutes the idle would go back to normal even with the light on. It's been two weeks since I've replaced the sensor and drove with the light on, finally it went off by itself today.
