What is your tire pressure?

The spec is 30 PSI (front & back). My 'x' was delivered at 36PSI. I have been riding on 35PSI. At 35PSI, I can feel every bump and crack on the road. To experiment a little bit - - am thinking about dropping the pressure to see how the ride changes.

What's your tire pressure and how has it affect the ride compliance?

Lower pressure gives you a smoother ride. Higher pressure gives you quicker turn-in and prevents the tread from rolling-under during aggressive driving (at-the-limit handling).

I usually run 35psi on the street, and 40front/38rear for the days I'm autocrossing.

My only problem with 30psi is that, if a tire does loose a little air, it's now in the 20's -- and if you don't catch it soon, will start wearing out the edges of the tire from underinflation. 30 is okay as long as you check it regularly and don't let it go under.

I run 34psi in Winter and 32psi in summer.
Trying to get best of both worlds

Not sure what tires your your X came through with, but many have complained that the Bridgestone Turanza EL-42 tires have this effect. Mine sure do, but I have nothing to compare them to (yet). BTW, I'm running at about 34psi.

35 PSI front/rear, both winter/summer (California) on stock Goodyear GS-D's.
The dropoff in handling and response are too significant vs. the slight improvement in ride quality I get with lower pressures, at least with the sport suspension. Also get better mileage.

My $0.02

Thanks Guys and/or Gals for your responses.

I dropped mine from 35psi to 34psi. So far, the ride is alot better and the tires don't sound like hard frozen rubber rolling over bumps. Will report back if my gas mileage will differ. So far, I have been getting 16+/17 mpg on 900+ miles driven.
