05 G35 + coupe y pipe

If you have an 05 G35, the Sedan Y pipe is the same as the 03-04 Y pipe. I had mine changed today, took 20 minutes. Did not add any noise or anything, I ended up just putting a scratched coupe y pipe on and paying $50 for it. So if you have an 05, don't bother.

Wait a minute, are you saying you put a coupe y-pipe on your '05 sedan? You do know that the oem Y-pipes on the G Coupe, G Sedan, and 350Z are all the same right?

Thumbs down

I realized I just made a stupid assumption by looking at a diagram. I thought the sedan had a resonator on the y-pipe (well it does) but I saw a diagram and I thought the coupe was straight flowing pipes.

It's too bad you made that mistake. Lesson learned though right? And to be technically correct there are no resonators on the y-pipe. You might be thinking of the flex sections. The sedan mid-pipe definitely has a big resonator on it and the coupe mid-pipe has a much smaller one. Good luck with your future mods.
