Persistent loud squeaking noise resolved

Putting this out there as I had an annoying audible metal on metal squeak on the front end whenever the car would compress or shimmy on the driver side. After fine tooth combing the front end of the car I had narrowed it down to either a bad shock or loose motor mount. Well after replacing the front shocks over the weekend I realized it was not a shock. Well after some trial, error and **** tons of searching, I saw mention of the hood latch possibly being an issue; 2 things I did, I hit the hood latch with some PB blast, but its the second that I think fixed it. I noticed that the rubber hood rest, which raises or lowers the hood, were completely as low as possible on both sides of the hood, I rolled the grommets forward some to allow the hood to a little space and not let it sit on the fender or grill. This has killed all of the squeak that was very audible. So after feeling dumb that it was such an easy fix I would def look in this area as I think it gets over looked.
