2003 Cranking but will not start
2003 Cranking but will not start
So, there are a few threads on this issue, but none that really pertain to my issues. Most of the other threads are chalked up to a chip issue in the key. I'm not getting the solid security light, so I don't that's the issue (I also cannot locate the spare key).
Car is old, high mileage (240K) and has had little issues in its lifetime. Recently, I've noticed a few times the car taking a little longer to start. Not everytime, but 4-5 times over the past couple months. 2 of these times, it has taken two attempts for it to start. Now, it isn't starting at all (as of a few hours ago). Earlier today, it was in for an oil change, and it was started probably 8-9 times today alone.
The battery is new, and it cranks strongly.
Anyone have any suggestions on what action to take. Was considering changing the spark plugs as a first option, but from what has happened, a fuel issue seems a but more likely?

Air, Fuel Spark
Going to assume no blockages in the air intake system, and the filter is good.
Spark plugs are in good condition? Have you physically pulled the Coils off and checked for oil in the spark plug wells? Pull a plug and check to see if the electrode is in good shape, or worn down. Did you have an misfire issues or codes prior to this?
Fuel. This would require hooking up a fuel pressure gauge and checking to see if you have pressure from the pump. Not sure where is a good location to do this on a G35 however.
ANy codes at all? It's possible cam or crank sensors could be a culprit, but some of these potential causes would have shown warning signs a while ago. The car ran perfectly fine other than a long crank?
Are you SURE the battery is in good condition?

Car decided that it would start right up this morning. So weird.
The spark plugs are probably in need of replacement. But is it possible that they could be causing the mysterious and inconsistent start issues?

Pulled code P0345. Seems to be the right Camshaft position sensor, ironically very similar to the thread right under this one.
Seems from the quick research I have done, this could be my issue.
