Obviously not, just stating the obvious and trying to weigh what appears to be the benefit of plasti dip's longevity vs. the extra effort and perhaps more vulnerable paint and clear.

It's only vulnerable if ur a moron that likes to drive really close behinds cars.

Its also not vulnerable if you do It right Like I said mine is painted and its held up perfectly for years.

Obviously a DIY rattle can paint job will never compare with a professional paint job. But for what it is—the time, effort, and money involved—a rattle can will usually suffice if done right especially for something like the grille.

Because you've never been cut off or have not ridden on the highway before? Ride on a mobile couch at 60mph and see the damage from being even 200 feet back.
