I'm gonna second this. Don't know what it is but they put some serious rubber in those things. Tried some Rainex but they had a miss right in my line of vision on the return sweep. Hated them. Went back to OEM and happyman returns.

Did you clean your windshield thoroughly? Give that a go first.
Try these out. They are a bit pricey but well worth it!!!

I know my opinion is against the grain, but I usually just buy inexpensive wipers from Walmart or Costco (I'm not even sure what brand) and replace them at the beginning of the rainy season. Sometimes the wipers last two years, but I typically only expect a year out of them. New wipers, even the cheap ones, always seem to outperform really nice ones that are even just a year old, so I go with inexpensive ones and replace often. Just my 0.02 based on my own experiences. I do stay away from the fancy looking RainX brand ones, as that's been the only one that has not conformed well to a windshield before.
I usually also apply RainX windshield treatment twice during rainy seasons, and that also helps a great deal with visibility during a downpour. It also makes it easier to clear condensate in the mornings.

Finally remembered to look at them. The blade is stamped Nissan and Ichico, and the insert has a bunch of Japanese characters molded into it. The insert is also a dark grey color...it is not jet black like most you see.
One other thing to consider: they are really low profile with a clean line to them. The Rainex in particular are ungracefully bulky and nasty tall. Therefore the sprung force on the wiper arm is greater than what it is with the OEM. I wonder if that contributed to the poor clearing action on the return swipe.
Anyway, those Rainex make your car look ugly. All the girls will notice. Don't get them.

I hope you're kidding. This is just about the most ridiculous thing I've read on forums, and there is never a shortage of shenanigans.
