gonna do my first official transmission oil change HELP
I just got my transmission fluid (only 4 quarts of matic-s ordered matic-j nd this is what they sent me but i heard its just the new matic-j. But i plan on doing the drain and fill brcause I have about 114k miles on my g35 and never gotten any kind of transmission fluid change. I plan on doing the simple drain and fill with the biggest drain bolt but i also seen a video were they did a similar drain and fill thru the transmission nd pumping 2 quarts back is that necessary?
Also i heard you have to change out the filter and clean it out. Do i need to switch the filter or would i be ok till next 10k miles were i do another drain and fill??? Help please

Filter isn't really servicable. It's more or less a screen. I wouldn't worry about it. It could be replaced if it helps you sleep better at night.
Just put the front of the car on jackstands, and remove the tranny dipstick (10mm nutdriver or socket), then remove the trans bolt (i think 19mm but not sure) and let it drain. About 4 quarts comes out. Replace the drain plug, and then what I do is pour the 4 qts into one of those 5 qt oil change jugs after i do an oil change. That helps me measure how much fluid came out.
I then pour that amount of fluid back into the trans dipstick using a funnel. Put the dipstick back in, close it all up and go for a drive. COme back, and pull the stick and confirm it's in the correct range. If it is, mark it off as done and redo it again in 30K miles.
It's easier than an oil change on these cars.

Ok kool. But right now i only have 4 quarts. Is that enough????
I checked my fluid and its not even red its brownish/yellowish. you can only imagine 113k miles with the same transmission fluid. I heard you can drain 2 quarts and pump 2 quarts in with the two transmission bolts is that necessary??? or is the simple fill and drain enough??
