04 sedan with obd 2 code P0300 & P0011

I have a 04 sedan with 180,000 miles.

recently it started to idle a bit out of the ordinary where it feels like its shaking but its not enough where you can notice it if you standing next to it.,.. You need to be in the driver seat.

If i put the car in motion the rattling/shaking goes away and it will come back some times when im in idle.

Ran the scanner on it and it came back with P0300 & P0011

what would be the most common issue on this car ?

btw i already googled it but different car's different solutions.

I am going to check on what is causing the misfire maybe bad plugs or a hole in one of the lines.. Also the fuel filter.

The second code is for valve timing which is the one that worries me

180k? When's the last time you changed the plugs? People think these cars are impervious to plug changes cuz Infiniti suggests changes at 105k intervals, when that is simply not right. 40k intervals will keep it running at peak performance. This could also be a coil pack issue, or even a head gasket issue. You gotta pull the plugs and check out what's going on in there.

I bought the car when it already had 135k miles on it ..

Only thing ive done mechanically to it has been regular oil changes.

Im gonna work on it this weekend.

Do you think if the plugs are bad they could aslo be causing the other code where it comes up with valve timing ?

That, I would think, would be a sensor, but tackle them one at a time to be sure.

Start with the misfire issue or should I start tackling first the valve timing issue ?

Read this thread.

At 180K miles, and no idea if the plugs were changed before, i would at the very least pull out 2-3 plugs and inspect them for wear and replace them.

i checked out that thread you linked and i get two different reasons as to what the issue could be

The multi cylinder misfire code can be caused from a dirty mass air flow sensor or something touching the hotwire inside the sensor(a hair or piece of a leaf, etc) Hope this helps

so what do you think .. valve timing solenoid or camshaft sensor ?

Page 168 and on. I'd read that and see if that helps troubleshoot.
