Brake light in back window is out
back window brake light went out, My 03 g35 sedan didn't come with a manual. I also have 2 kicker 12 beating down the block, could I busted LED panel and where should i start?
yeah, its a led panel, didn't want 2 go 2 the dealership. I have 2 12" kickers CVR, replaced interior speakers as well, dynomat, great sound quality, but I do think it is 2 loud sometimes.
Any item of cost to replace led brake strip or diy?

Mine is also out. Pretty sure I read that you should just buy the whole light. TO get to it is a pita. You have to remove the back seats and then all the stuff around the seat belts. Then remove the rear upper tray and then it is only like 2 screws and a plug.

Common issue. Mine works intermittently. 90% of the time it works but then sometimes I back up near a window and see that it's out.
Most 03/04 I see on the road have it out. Has nothing to dow with your subs
Led panel needs to be replaced, and ita slightly expensive.

That is for all the brake lights not working which is a faulty switch on the pedal.
ONLY the 3rd brake light not working is a common issue and not a recall...yet. It should be. Next time you are out and see a G35...check it's brake light. More often than not, it is out...especially on 03/04's
The fault is a diode on the circuit board. it can be replaced if you can get a diode of the same specs (www.mauser.com) and know how to desolder and solder. Possibly a $.50 cent fix after you remove your entire back seat and rear shelf to take it out. Alternative is ~$200 for a new LED strip and install it yourself...
or you can wire in a $10 LED strip and run that. Do some searching, it's a common issue. I've seen a thread showing the diode replacement as well as one installing the cheap strip.
For me...i'm gonna take it out and replace the diode...but i'm trying to find specs first so i can have one on hand ready to go.
According to this site, it's a 1N4007 rectifying diode avail at radio shack
www.mauser.com sells them for 26 cents each.

I replaced mine last week when one of my LEDs was out. Im OCD as hell and it finally got to me enough that i bought one off ebay.
It was brand new, and i got it for $100 shipped. Install was semi easy. Putting the second screw in is the hardest part, so i just left it out. One screw holding it in and it hasnt moved yet.

Very easy to do. Just find yourself a good deal on the assembly.
