Sending Unit/Pump question (not about q-tip)

Hey guys,

So I've done enough research on this forum (very helpful btw) to q-tip both my sending units thoroughly. No question about that, was a pretty easy operation. However, it didn't do much. Gauge is still fluctuating within a quarter of a tank margin. So I ordered new sending units.

Changed the driver side one no problem. When going into the passenger one with the pump, I noticed the part ebay sent me is wrong. So I'm going to call them to send me the right one. However, anyone have any tips how to disconnect the float arm unit from the pump itself? Seems to be one entity, and I don't want to use force and break something. Also, is the pump attached to the inside of the tank by the black hose? I couldn't lift it out all the way. Had to hold it in midair when q-tipping.

So can someone describe in detail how to change the sending unit on the pump side and detach it from the pump itself? Obvs if you have any pics, that would be greatly appreciated.

I am attaching pics of the wrong part they sent me just in case. The arm shape is diff from the unit that's attached to the pump.
