Question about painting grille.
Question about painting grille.
I was washing my car and I noticed that a film started coming off my grille. So now it looks all jacked up and I want to paint it. Any suggestions on how to do that?
I'd take it to someone who works at a body shop who does work on the side. Better to do it right the first time than using dip or rattle can paint in my opinion.

Seriously ^ a half blind monkey with rattle cans has the ability to paint a grille! This would be a great project for a Saturday morning now that it's warm. Removing the grille will be the most difficult part, washing with scrub pads and buying quality spray can paint will be easy and fun. Most auto parts stores and Pep Boys sell a good variety of spray cans. I painted my first Harley Candy Red with Schwinn bicycle paint and it looked

^^Just throwing out that idea if by chance he's looking to get an aftermarket grill like the gialla and painting it a different color other than black, like his oem color.

If you want to keep and paint the stock grille, you are better off getting it done by a paint shop. I had mine painted gloss black for $50. A rattle can might be good enough for some cars on here but if you want it to look great just do it right the first time.
