04 sedan rwd "awd" dash icon help

Hey guys I recently bought a 04 g35 sedan rwd and on top of the temp gauge it shows "awd" and chasis icon to the left of it . I tried searching but couldn't find anything . All I found was that infiniti got lazy and made the clusters the same on the 04 rwd and g35x .The awd icons doesnt light up or anything , but it's just there and kinda hard to see , was wondering if this is normal ?

It's normal. Infiniti was lazy. It doesn't work nor does it mean anything.

My 06 sedan has a RAS icon on it. Rear Active Steering was only available on the coupes.

Well, probably more the later. Cheaper and easier to just make one cluster with everything and then activate what is needed.
