03 G35 oil consumption question

Check for leaks all around your car. Check valve covers, gaskets, the whole 9. If you have not so, check the PCV valve and replace it with a clean OEM one. You can run a catch can system to check how much oil is being collected into the intake and prevent it from burning. I run a vented catch can system that is showing good usage every oil change. I went from consuming 2-3 Qts per 4K mile interval to about topping off 1Q every 4K miles which is acceptable given my cars age.
Oil is also a factor. Some oils may burn through quicker than others. I ran Castrol GTX and it drank through that like it was nothing. I switched over to Mobile Euro 0w40 and am seeing noticeable improvements.
For a peace of mind, you can also do a compression test on all cylinders and check the problem source of the oil consumption.
Additives won't do much to fix this problem from my experience.
Hope this helps

Start carrying around quarts of oil in your trunk.
My '06 is burning about 1 qt per 1K miles now. I just carry 1-2 quarts in the trunk and always check and add.
Not much I can do really, and honestly, with 164K miles and car long since paid off...i'm just buying time til I trade it in on a G37x.

My 06x is burning oil too. About 1 quart every 1800-2000 miles.
I noticed it burns oil faster if I drive it harder. Otherwise it burns it around the rate like I previously mentioned.
I changed the PCV valve amd that didnt fix it. I also checked for oil in the spark plug tubes and valve covers and it was bone dry.
Other than that I have absolutely no idea where the oil is going.
