Hey guys-

The next "mod" I want to do to my car is more aesthetic- I want to either paint the lower black rocker panels to match the factory color or buy the side sills and rear and front bumper. In terms of cost, durability, and looks- which option would you guys recommend. I attached a picture of my car for reference

Hey there. You could do a Nismo All around body kit which can be found on the Vendors from here on Driver.

You can also paint the bottom sills and make it look whole. There are posts here with people doing this as well.

There is also Kurookie front bumper as well.

Take a look into the media share threads to get an idea of what may interest you.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the reply and the suggestions! My concern with the body kit would be cost of installation and the cost of the pieces themselves. My concern with the paint is more a question of longevity. Could I theoretically paint the sides and do a front and rear bumper?

Didn't you go from 6MT coupe > 5AT coupe and now > Sedan?

I'd repaint.

Thanks for the feedback. How much do you think it would cost?

Nah, I've had the 6mt sedan for just under a year now. I really like the looks of it, other than the stupid rubbermaid finish that surrounds the car. Do you have experience repainting/ cost estimates?

Depends. Most people say painting the black sills all around can be from 3-500 depending on the shop that does it. Not too bad and it really makes the car look more complete.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. Is painting this material particularly difficult?

Nope. Not really. One thing is to prepare it really well prior to painting. The material is rough so it would take a good amount of prep to have it feeling the same as the rest of the car.

Let us know how it goes!
