Mufflers and resonators serve the same purpose, to cancel out the exhaust sound waves and quiet down the exhaust noise. Don't get hung up on that so much.

The shorter the muffler body, the greater the noise generated at the critical 2500rpm range. Even with the 22" muffler I had in place, it still did make some droning in the 2500rpm range. Though not near the level that the Stillen TD does. If the noise issue matter's to you, look into this. Dynomax makes a ultraflow SS muffler that has a slim profile, 4 1/4" by 9 3/4", it should offer greater noise suppression. Either part number 17283 or 17289

the stock muffler gives a high pitch sound in the first place.

sounds kinda like the 360 Modena.

HKS + straight mid + Y-pipe is the ****.
