HID Light Problem
HID Light Problem
Hey all,
Got a 2004 Sedan with factory HIDs and original bulbs/ballasts. My passenger side light is out. When I turn the switch on the driver side fires right up and the passenger side clicks or chatters for a second of two and then does not light. Do you guys think it's the bulb or the ballast (or both)?
Thanks for the help.

I agree, this sounds like the ballast. It can possibly be the igniter and not the ballast but I wouldn't hold my breath on that. Just to clarify urban's post - you can check if it is the bulb by swapping it to the other side to see if it lights up. If it lights up, it is definitely not the bulb. If it's the ballast, look for the Matsushita xenon ballast online rather than buying one from the dealer.

Yes, the ballast should be the same from coupe to sedan. If anything, there are newer generations of Matsusita ballast that you can use for your G.
