Lowering my 03 Sedan

So I want to lower my car when it starts getting a bit warmer outside. I am not very experienced with cars so I need some suggestions on what i should do and what i need to buy(im in college so I'm kind of on a budget). I love how my car drives but I also want it to look nicer. The image i attached was just one i found online on how I want my car to look I want to know if lowering it that much which i believe is 2 inches will affect my performance alot. Any suggestions?

It really depends on what you use to lower it. If using lowering springs you want to try and match the spring rates to the shocks/struts as close as possible. The pic you posted looks like they used the Z springs which is a pretty mild drop but retains oem ride quality.

I am currently running this set up and this is how mine sits.

I used Tein S-Tech sedan springs to lower my X. The drop was specified to be 2.0F/1.5R for the sedan so I think my X should be another half inch lower. The ride is acceptable but is a bit firm. I like the fender gap I have now after I added some 15mm spacers (not in the photo) but the car is really too low for where I drive. I have to be careful not to scrape the bottom of the car on pretty typical stuff like speed bumps, some large ruts in the asphalt at some stoplights, driveways, etc. If I had to do it over again I'd go with less drop more like the H&R springs or G/Z springs. I could never justify coilovers for this old beater.

So you are currently using z Springs? yeah I don't really want to lower it a lot. I am digging your drop

Yes. Mine is an '06 so I am running the revised Z springs with oem shocks and struts. Some angles the drop looks pretty good and in others I think it needs to go down some more. I have 2 other options sitting in my garage currently but have not yet put them on.

I am liking these wheels man. Mind if I ask about the specs and brand of wheels? Thanks!

JerseyTaylor...I think this pic better illustrates that the current height with Z springs could be better.
