Tokico brake calipers??

I was doing the brakes on my 03 sedan today and noticed the calipers said Tokico and I can't find anything on here or online about Tokico calipers other than for a motorcycle. Also the pads hang over the outside of the rotor about 0.5"-0.75", is that normal?

They are an OEM brake manufacturer. Nothing special about them. Most manufacturers these days contract out subcomponents on the cars they make.

I just don't understand why the pad doesn't fit fully on the rotor. It's like the rotor is too small but the ones I took off were the same way and I ordered the correct ones

OP that is not normal. I think you are running sport calipers without sport rotors, or you are running regular rotors with sport calipers... Do the front calipers have two pistons or one big one? Have the calipers ever been replaced?

Single piston. I'm thinking one of the previous owners put different calipers and brackets on and they or somebody else took the calipers off when they got rid of the car but not the brackets

Pics of the brake setup from the outside looking in?

Pics of the pads?

Do you have 05+ pads? The caliper did change then.
