Searching for fresh headlights

Hey all. I've got a 04 G sedan and I'm looking to upgrade my headlights.
I believe replacing them entirely is my best bet. As I believe I have been THAT guy.. I bought the car recently with hids in a reflector assembly. Granted I don't do much driving at night so it hasn't been a big deal. The lenses are foggy, of course, not my main concern, semi simple fix.
What I need is a projector assembly with black housing that fits the 04 sedan. I've been reading that aftermarket is not the way to go. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Sedans didn't have factory projectors. You have to build your own.

You're going to have to retrofit your current headlights (or an after market OEM housing) with projectors.

There are threads about doing retrofits. In my local Nissan/Infiniti group in Dallas, there are a couple people who do retrofit builds. If I supply the headlights, one guy will set me up (installed) for $250-300.

I have retrofits on my Accord, they blow away the factory HIDs on my G35.

Theretrofitsource.com

Browse some hid products. The acme hid kit is cheap and works surprisingly well. I would recommend their D2S 4.0 projector kit with the MM bulbs.

I also live in the Dallas area, could you share one of these people with me?

You a member of DNE/DIE?

Do a search on Facebook for DFW Nissan & Infiniti Events and Pre-meets- DNE/DIE, closed group so I can't link it, but you can request to join, shouldn't be any problem getting approved.

Stephen Ortiz is your man. He also does mechanical work. Took him 45 minutes to install my Art Pipes.

I was quoted $500 for the conversion and that it would take a week. Sound right?

The knock offs clear finish is usually the failing factor for these knock off headlights. I would recommend buying the aftermarket and have a paint & body shop wetsand & re-spray the lenses. they will last the car's lifetime.

OEM lenses are the best lenses. Sand/polish/clearcoat.

$460 for my Accord a couple years ago, so yeah. Price depends on what the housing costs, the projectors (just low or low/high), shrouds and bulbs.

Not a very popular choice on here but if you like them good for you. Just know the usable light output on those pales in comparison to OEM's.
