When i push on the gas pedal moving or stationary my car is making a rattle/ticking sound. Sounds like something is coming loose in the engine....I can't tell where it's coming from....Any suggestions?

There are literally dozens of things that could produce a rattle or ticking noise that increases with engine RPMs. Pulley bearings, timing chain, valve adjustment, exhaust leak... just to name a few. Your best bet is likely to get a mechanic's stethoscope and use that to pinpoint the location of the noise.
Does it happen only when the engine is hot/cold? Does it get louder if you give it more gas or are going up a hill? When did it start doing this?

Check the heat shields on your cats. They are known to come apart and rattle like hell.
