leaking anti-freeze

Hey Guys, I have a 2006 Infinity G-35. A few days a go, I started smelling antifreeze when I slowed down or stopped. Last night, I checked, and coolant tank was low. I also saw where antifreeze had been sprayed over front of engine, especially around the water-pump, from the fan, blowing it back, but most was dry. After inspecting, I did, however, see a small amount of liquid. It appears to be coming from a short metal tube, with a metal cap, that runs from the radiator to the water-pump. What is this called, and can I replace it myself?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Not sure - maybe check the parts diagrams online? Sounds like something pretty simple.

Probably not the water pump you're thinking of since it's sealed inside the timing chain cover and not accessible without disassembly of the entire front of the motor. Take a good picture with something to point at EXACTLY where the coolant is.coming from. If you can't tell then wash everything down to remove the over spray coolant and get a good flashlight + inspection mirror.

I would say maybe he's looking at the thermostat housing?

It could be a gasket, clamp, or crack in the housing. Yes, you can replace it yourself.

Rent a pressure tester at your local auto parts store and use it. It will show you exactly where the leak is.
