g35x 06 replace sensor code p0340
g35x 06 replace sensor code p0340
recently got a check engine light on, so i when to auto zone to get the g checked. code p0340 appeared only ( camshaft sensor circuit) replaced the sensor but check engine light was still on. i took it to the road and the car felt a little more faster later that night, took the car out for another test and the acceleration was lacking ( no cold start let it sit 5 min before moving) pressed the gas and the car was moving slow, wasn't giving me a correct response.

You did replace the passenger side phase sensor yes?
Also, it's highly recommended to NOT use anything other than OEM sensors on this engine, also, perform an ECU reset to clear the code manually.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

OP I'll second what Cleric said. I just finished this last week and I used a Nissan sensor. Car runs great and did pick up some lost power over the last week. Use OEM sensors only unless you want to play the guessing if it will or won't work long term game. I also have the Torque pro app to read/clear codes as well as monitor a lot of the car's other critical systems. For $20 you can get a low cost OBD2 scanner from Amazon and the app (Android only) to have a really good diagnostic set up for your car.
