Spongy/soft brakes

hey guys! Need some advice... my 2005 g35x brake pedal is spongy and goes all the way to the floor. This only happens when the engine is on. Doesn't feel spongy when the engine is off.

This started happening when I replaced all four rotors and pads. On one of the occasions I remember when I pressed in the piston to install the pads, I forgot to open the brake fluid reservoir cap. Do u think this may have contributed to an internal failure due to pressure?

i have bled the brakes 4-5 times but the pedals still feels ge same. The beginning few times I did see some air come out but on the last round almost no air came out of the. Leader valve this implying the system is air free. Anyone else had this problem? What do u guys think is going on?

Either air in the system or leaving the cap on the reservoir toasted one of the calipers or the master cylinder.

I believe if the MC was toast, pedal won't feel firm with engine off. Not 100% sure about that though... what do u think?

You should never compress the piston on a vehicle equipped with abs without opening the bleed valve on the caliper. You run a chance of pushing contaminants back up into the ABS controller.

You probably just need to bleed out the brakes completely due to air. Check the FSM because it's not your standard bleed order and I can't remember what it is offhand.

Yea I hope so too. Checked FSM last night and seems like I didn't follow the order. Do u think not following the correct order will make a significant difference and make the pedal touch the floor, specially when I bled the brakes, no air came out?
