Here's a conundrum. After driving through the carwash, I'll drive it a few miles and then it goes into shut down mode for a while. Eventually it sorts itself out and runs again. Anyone else have this issue? Does anyone know why this is happening?

Water damage to some electrical component, get it scanned with an OBD2 reader, hopefully they can pull a DTC if it's still stored otherwise I suggest investing in a bluetooth OBD2 adapter that can sync to your smartphone and use an app to read it when the code pops up next time. There's a couple dozen different things that can trigger the VDC/SLIP lights but the car will tell you exactly which one it was.
You should also check the obvious and make sure your brake fluid is full but I doubt that's the cause, probably a wheel sensor or something is getting crapped with water and starts working again when it drains and dries out.

Well, I got it fixed. Turns out, I had water intrusion in the PCM box along the firewall behind the battery. Found a used one for $270 and had it installed as well as the pins in each of the plugs (which were greenish with corrosion) cleaned and treated with a sealant solution. Two trips through the car wash and no more issues.
