Has anyone considered using an airbrush to repair chips in the paint? It would seem to me that if you properlt masked the chip, this would be the best way to fill it. Less chance of a bulge in your paint and the application would be even.

 

dont wait to find out, get the clear bra on it right away....spare yourself the anguish...you'll thank yourself later

 

Is the touch up paint the dealer provides made by Infiniti? Or is it really the same stuff as you can buy elsewhere? I'd prefer using the genuine stuff - unless it costs 2x as much with tons of dealer markup.

 

I too have a rock (pebble) ding on my hood. I was pleasantly suprised to get the Ivory Pearl touchup paint gratis at Beaverton Infiniti today. It is a 2 step process, the undercoat is the color and the top coat is the metalic part, I'll be using it this weekend.
