main fuse link and starting problems! need pictures. please help

hello everyone,

I am needing a picture of your main fuse link on the positive baterry. someone with my same year and model of possible. 2006 sedan manual transmission. also if you could take pictures of tell me how the cable that goes to it its ran thst would help. bought car not running. it cranks but doesnt start and blows that main fuse when the cable gets super hot. I feel that when the starter was replaced, they changed the fuse link and cable from another car. my fuse link and cable only have 1 post connector that goes down to starter and when I look for used ones I find th fuse link to have 2 post out that 1 goes to starter and 1 to alternator. so confused. email to vincelaudi@yahoo.com thank you this is one of the ones that were on my car
this one is the one i pull up and see on ebay. so should 1 or 2 cables should be going here?

If I remember on my 06 Coupe it does have two posts, but I think once of them was unused.

Maybe trace the wire and see if it's shorting out to ground anywhere?

If the wire is getting hot when cranking and the fusible link blows then it's just doing its job. It's supposed to do that so you don't end up with an electrical fire than burns the car to the ground.

Start with why the ECU won't open the injectors or deliver spark. Do you have fuel pressure? Buy the Z1 sandwich adaptor for the fuel damper so you can put a gauge on it to verify pressure. Is NATS preventing start? What is the security indicator doing when you put in a key and try to crank?

there is spark and fuel. I disconnected the fuel preassure regulator and put a cup on that end. when I turn key, fuel comes out. spark is there while cranking. pulled plus out and put close to body and saw spark. se unity light off.it just wont start and noticed that cable gets really really hot. guy I bought it from said, car ran out of gas and he kept cranking it and messed up the starter. while replacing it, left battery connected it and it positive cable on body and blew fuse. after finishing, got new fuse link. no start. replaced alternator and nothing. now I got it. did notice were it suppose to connect to alternator, the cable inside its cut almost all the way through only giving a few cables to power the starter. ordered new cable to see what happens.

Yeah having a severed conductor like that can also cause the wire to overheat like that since it's passing electrons through a much smaller area.
