Passenger power seat problem

The passenger seat button that moves the seat back and forward is stuck in the rear position. I can adjust the seat up and down with the other button. Is there a way to bypass the switch or motor in the problem seat by doing it manually? I do not want to go through addional expense of new motor or switch, The seat sits back too far.

Disconnect the motor gearbox from each slide rail and use a socket to manually move the slide rails. Work each side a little switching sides frequently so the rails don't become stressed.

It's pretty easy to fix the switch w/o any cost. You have to take the seat out to get to the switch but from there just remove it and spray it liberally with contact cleaner. You can also try it w/o removing the switch which might work as well. If you do that the switch out and the contact cleaner didn't work it's really easy to take the switch apart carefully then clean the 2 ball bearings and 2 small metal contact bars. We did this about 4 months ago and now the switch works great. Our back was reclined all the way back and all the way forward which rendered it unusable. Works like new now.
