Clunking noise over small bumps. Front driver side g35x
Please help. Replaced Lower control (compression) arm. Replaced Swaybar link. New tires. Keeps making metal like clinking noise on bumps and pilot holes. Could it be the main lower control arm bushing? Bushings don’t make metal clinking noise. Please send me ideas.

I just got through fixing this exact same problem.. except it has a few rattles. Chances are it's the control arm bushings. It's cheaper to replace the entire unit than the bushings FYI. That's where I would start and I'd replace them all on both sides since the others are sure to go and each time requires another alignment. I also had a rattle in one of my struts so those got replaced. While you're at it.. have them check the rack and pinion assembly. If it's starting to leak, might as well replace it while you got things apart.
Replacing the stabilizer links did help a little as they were making noise too.. but the final fix came when I did the control arms (all)
Good luck
