Walker camshaft position sensor?

So my sensors on my g finally gave out and all the places near me were charging ridiculous prices for sensors so I ended risking it and buying WALKER brand camshaft sensors.Has anyone had any experience with WALKER sensors? How long did it last?

It's all the same Chinese ones rebranded. I replaced a cam sensor in 2014 with a similar one and it's still going strong.

If the package doesn't say NISSAN GENUINE PARTS you don't want it.

You're one lucky **** and one of the few.

This, OP if you've done any reading on this subject here you'll find the overwhelming majority of us recommend Nissan sensors only. The Chinese brands are appealing because they are cheap but they almost always cause more frustration because they don't work and you have to go shopping again. Check Amazon for really competitive prices on the Nissan sensors.

Go OEM. I put in Duralast sensors this past winter and had my car die on me in traffic last week (thankfully started back up, but the engine choking out is not what you want going 40mph up a hill). Had plenty of warning signs/codes before the last few months, but kept trying to keep those sensors going.

I spent about $160 for the Duralast ones while OEM are about $200 from Z1 Motorsports; SPEND THE EXTRA CASH! Your car, as well as your wallet, will thank you down the line. Amazon has the OEM set for under $150, but it's not back in stock til October 3rd and might sell out quickly.

I'm usually not the "Always get OEM stuff" guy but in this case don't skimp. I ordered 2 different aftermarket sets to test and had problems with both. Also when getting OEM Nissan sensors make sure you get the metal cased updated ones. If you see the black plastic ones they are really old stock or fakes and that is why I only order from a Nissan dealership. I made a post with pictures if you want to see the difference and get the part #'s

Hitachi camshaft position sensors

I recently had my passenger side camshaft sensor go out on my 04 sedan with 62k miles. It went out while driving, got the engine started back and then it went out again within 10 more miles. Decided to go ahead and replace both sides while I was at it. Ordered the Hitachi sensors from Rockauto as they were listed as OEM on the site. Came in Hitachi packaging but they look identical to the original factory sensors I removed. Cost $45 each.

I will update date if I have any problems with them.

Hitachi is not the OEM manufacturer for the sensors. They are built to "OEM spec" which is not the same thing.

I’ll pull one of the new ones again to compare, but I recall the number stamping and everything was identical. The Hitachis were made in Japan as well. Aren’t just about all aftermarket parts made to OEM spec (duralast, valucraft, eBay)? Does Denso make the true OEM sensor?

I spent $ 240 on the lifetime duralast crank and both cam position sensors to have on hand but haven't installed them yet because the originals "seem" to be fine.
I had a hard start. While driving there was a lack of low end power. Shortly after I got a p0345 "pending" code, just a pending code. I found a vacuum hose I installed was pressing against the wires on the plug. I moved it, checked the plug and wires and everything has been back to normal, like nothing happened,

You wrote "Had plenty of warning signs/codes before the last few months..." Was this with the oem sensor(s) as well prior to installing the new aftermarket ones or just an aftermarket phenomenon? I'm trying to determine if I should 1st and obviously return these duralast deals and get the oem and replace them with the assumption that I've been warned.

IIRC the throttle body is hitachi. I'm curious if these are in fact oem.

I spoke with a rep at Hitachi who goes by "T". He works in the tool division. He gave me the auto sensor division plant # in GA 707-207-0050. He's a 350z owner too. He said he replaced both cam position sensors but got'em from Z1. He wasn't specific as to why he didn't use the Hitachi though he did say he replaced his coil packs with Hitachi. He said they are oem. So why then did he get the cam sensors from Z1? I called the plant # but cannot get through.

Edit - phone # is 770-207-0050, not 707. Oops.

Ok so from what I was able to figure out by talking to a parts guy I know.

Revision A was OEM by Hitachi, revision B was OEM by Delphi, unsure who is doing the latest rev D sensors.

This is based on his actual OEM master catalog at work. That's all I got out of him.

Whooptydoo. What does it all mean Basil?

My DE is a 2003, so I have the original. 15 years and nearly 100k miles and they are still chugging along with the possible exception of the driver cps. I'd like some of those please.
