center console latch

The latch holding the console lid is broken on my 2003 I am sure someone has figured out a way to fix this as replacements dont seem to be available. Maybe a magnet? But how would I attach it?
This is her cute huh?

I wasn't referencing the console issue.

04 G35 Sedan performance package. 70k Eibach springs and sway bars. 19 inch wheels. Plenum spacer.
I imagine a magnet would work fine but the lid should stay closed when the body slams down on those front tires when you hit big bumps.

Probably talking about the pile of broken washers and dryers near the other car in the photo.

I would definitely go the magnet route, Infiniti did switch to a magnet latch for the later G35 coupes.

Not even close.

Our cars are just that, not monster trucks. I've never seen a G with tires that stick out that far but, that's JMHO and OP if you like it then more power to you.....

Well the tires and wheels were on there when I got it. Also the exhaust. What i had to do was repair 2 of the wheels as they were broken so I had them powder coated at the same time. I also did a lot of body work and painted it. This is what it looked like when I got it.

As far as the scrap metal I am in the a/c business so those are the units we change out. I recycle everything. The shed is my pump house as I supply the water to 3 different houses. I live in the country so I am sorry if my place does not conform to your uppity city standards. I built my 40x60 shop myself with the help of my good friend Chris. I also built the 25x25 carport and the 20x60 carport where I keep my race trailer. I have owned infiniti`s since the 90s when they first came out and was a member of Nico club. So I am not a newbie by any means.

This is how I repaired the console latch. It might not be up to your standards but it keeps the cover closed just fine and only cost 3 bucks.

I would paint that magnet black just to give it a more original appearance.

That old-skool brown just makes it look funky.

Great job frige! I think everyone was just yanking your chain. What part of Texas are you in? I'm in Houston.

The nickname for the part of the county I live in is "Fintucky" so I know exactly where you live
