2003 G35 won't start
Hi All,
I'm trying to figure out where to start with my car. It doesn't want to start, it sounds and feels like it's going to start but it doesn't and than after trying to start it for a few minutes it will start and then it stops and all the lights come on. Any ideas?

The car is in my driveway so I can't take it anywhere to check the code. I seem to remember replacing the starter in the past couple of years so I'm not sure if that could be it. Any other suggestions? I need to find a mobile mechanic and just want to know what I may be dealing with first, thanks.
Need clarification, I think you're saying the engine CRANKS normally but just won't start. Is this correct?
If so, add 1 gal fresh fuel, the fuel gauge is a common point of sudden failure and you might just be on empty even though it shows a half tank.
Next you have two things to check, first is fuel pressure but it requires you to install a sandwich adapter on to the passenger fuel damper. Just Google "z1 fuel sandwich adapter". Once you have verified fuel pressure if it still won't start then likely you have a failed crank sensor, sometimes a cam sensor as well, only use OEM or Hitachi brand ones.

Well, the first time this happened it just started after cranking it for several minutes and I was able to drive home which was approx. 5 miles. If it was out of gas, I probably wouldn't be able to make it or at least that's my reasoning. I am going to check the pressure and go from there, thanks for your help
