Yes that's possible, I would remove the VVT solenoid, pull out the little filter screen with a pick, you will probably find debris clogging the screen. You will be fine cleaning the screen with brake cleaner.

Search for:

G35 Valve Timing Control Solenoid Gasket or VTC Solenoid Gasket. They're cheap, while you have the VTC actuator off remove the actual solenoid "black plastic part on the end" and clean it out good on the inside. You need to look up a video on this one probably, it's a long cylindrical piece with screens surrounding various oil passageways, those screens may be clogged as well.

There is an o-ring on the end of the solenoid that may need to be replaced before you can reinstall it back into the VTC housing.

Or you can simply buy another VTC actuator if it looks like it's beyond your mechanical means to clean it out. VTC actuator torques back down to the head with 8 ft/lbs or 96 INCH/lbs, do not exceed the torque or you will be hating life. There is no listed torque for reassembling the solenoid back into the housing, just snug it down, the o-ring does the work keeping the oil in.

If you want to work the solenoid to test it for operation it requires 12v

My car has been broken for 4 months

I have a 2004 G35 coupe. I was changing my spark plugs one day and cleaned the throttle body with throttle body cleaner and my car was running good for a few days but then it all went bad, the sound changed and power decreased. I got it diagnosed and they said it was a P0300 and that it was running rich but was still drive able so I changed spark plugs and coil pack and no improvements, I then changed the throttle body and no improvements, I changed the spark plugs again and no improvements, I changed the fuel injectors and no improvements, I changed the spark plugs one more time and still nothing! Spark plugs from cylinder 4 and 6 are arcing and after I put new ones in it was still running bad, I donít know what else to do, please help.

Don't just throw parts at a car with your fingers crossed that it MIGHT fix the problem. I suggest taking it down to Nissan and paying for a 1 hour diagnostic. They will tell you what's actually wrong with your car.

I did, they told me everything I already know, they told to buy a new throttle body and I later found out that I didnít even need to do that, they told me it was P0300. I took it to a specialist after that and they said check the spark plugs after they diagnosed it and they didnít charge me anything

P0300 just means there's an intermittent random misfire. Take a picture of the dealership paperwork they gave you, there is
an itemized breakdown of the tests they did. That will help me figure out what's going on.

Ok and you replaced all the coil packs after that diagnostic yes?

Have you replaced the power steering pressure switch yet? Those can cause a LOT of problems when they're failing.

Well it was the top item they found wrong while doing the diagnostic so it's something that needs to be done before the car can be driven. Otherwise every time you touch the steering wheel it will kill the engine.
