I'd also reset the ECM and especially the idle air recalibration.

Coolant temperature sensor had the exact same symptoms for me, it would intermittently hard start and "overheat" but no guarantee they'll all fail in the same way.

If it only does it while it's been running for awhile and then has issues starting back up; I would say looking for something that involves heat (fuel pump, injector, etc..). You can also try unplugging the MAF as well and seeing if it starts up every time it will put you into limp mode though. The CTS can be a problem too I know on some cars it will make intermittent no-starts, but I have ran my car pretty hot when the fans failed and never had an issue restarting it.

Ok thanks guys going to try these things and also check the CTS. This problem reminds me of the old carb that use to vapor lock.

Ok tried all the suggestions today and still no luck. Did a hard reset, cleaned the MAF (which was not dirty at all) and replace the CTS( the old one ohm the same as the new one) then drove it 15mins shut it off started right back up then let it sit 10mins no start waited 10mins starts backup. I'll be darn gotta be a fuel issue.

What is your gauge reading?? Could the gas be super low but it's only reading like 1/4 tank?

Time to buy a fuel damper sandwich adapter from Z1 Motorsports and a cheap electric fuel pressure gauge that you can temporarily install in the cabin so you can monitor fuel pressure while driving.

Does the stalling correlate with hitting bumps in the road like maybe a loose electrical connection?

You check the Throttle Body yet? I've heard of dirty ones causing problems when the engine gets warm.

Update to the hard to start G. Thanks for the feedback guys as far as the fuel gauge it went out about a year ago and after changing both sending units with no luck determined it to be the cluster but I had plenty of fuel it in during my issues. Today went to a friend's shop who has more advanced diagnostic scanners and more knowledge on these imports. After putting our thoughts together and feedback from you guys on the CTS I think we may have found the culprit. A failing freaking fuel pump. We disconnected the CTS when it wouldn't start and it started but was in limp mode. So I have opinion on this but want to hear from you guys however, I changed the pump out tonight and it hasn't done it yet. Stop twice on the way home and shut it off for a bit and it started up fine and I will check again tomorrow. As far the sandwich adapter that was next step to order it.

It was probably the pump, check valve in there, or after running for a period of time it would get hot.
