Hissing sound when pressing on brakes

Recently noticed a hissing sound when pressing on the brakes. I looked it up and was thinking that maybe it’s the brake booster but everything is normal other than the sound. Brakes are working perfectly, pedal is normal, stopping distance is normal. There are no signs other than the hissing sound. It sounds like air is being released, I’m not sure if this is a cause for concern. The brake fluid is is also normal and not draining or anything. Any ideas?

It's normal. Depending on the pads, some are louder than others. It's just the friction

when I look up the problem it says that it’s the brake booster, I’m worried that it could be that and I’d have to replace it.

you don't think that it could be the brake booster? If it's just a normal sound from the pads I would be very relieved. I'm just not sure because the brakes are operating perfectly other than the hissing/air sound...

If it makes the same sound when you.press the brakes WHILE STOPPED then you.have a failing brake booster. If it only makes the sound while moving then it's probably just the brake pads.

Yes it only makes the sound while pressing the brakes when I'm driving. If I'm going very slow I don't hear the hissing. I have gotten new brake pads and rotors recently (within last few thousand miles). So you think its just nothing to worry about?

I'd say it's normal and you if you did have to replace it there is not much to it. You can get a used one for like 50 bucks and a new o-ring from the dealer is like 15.
